Extremely easy to install, to configure and use, SC2 sets a new standard for motorcycle communication. The HD speakers and three antennas for FM Radio, Bluetooth Intercom and Mesh Intercom are already pre-installed in the SCHUBERTH C5. The SC2 is extremely simple to install: Plug in the HD BOOM microphone, remove the covers at the back of the helmet, free the remote control housing on the side, plug both in, turn them on, and you are ready to ride!

Mesh 2.0 technology increases of 80% the quantity of data transferred across rough and challenging conditions while ensuring the possibility to connect with a virtually limitless number of participants.

LIMITLESS PERFORMANCE
Thanks to the new antennas shapes and positioning under the shell, the work distance bike-to-bike is now up to 2 km in a open terrain. The main unit, perfectly integrated on the back of the helmet, includes a high performance battery able to ensure a chat time up to 12 hours. The new remote control placed on the side of the helmet, has being ergonomically designed to ensure the maximum usability with the gloves.

Great Communication Headset

This headset has been great so far. It has a lot of features so I am still learning the ins and outs of everything it offers, but it is very intuitive. I noted another review expressed concerns about the remote coming off easily, allowing moisture underneath it, and that the battery only had an hour or so of run time. I can only speak for myself but I haven't experienced those problems. I will say that when I first installed the remote it did seem very easy to come off of the helmet which caused me some concern. However, I soon figured out that if you apply a little force as you slide the remote into place, it clips in and is very secure. The remote isn't going to come off of the helmet until you intentionally pry up on the clasp end and release it. When seated properly, the remote has a tight seal to the helmet and I don't believe moisture can get in. As far as battery life, I have been on several rides, over 5 hours, using communication, GPS, and listening to music and the battery has never even warned me that it was low. The battery life seems more than enough for a full day of riding before needing to charge. The speakers work great and I can hear comms clearly at highway speed while wearing earplugs. So far I am very happy with the purchase, and by the way, Sierra BMW had the best price I found anywhere, saving me over $45.00 and shipping was $1.99, Great deal!

Easy Rider
Has major problems

The rechargeable battery in the main unit lasts only about an hour before it runs out and turns off.

When attached to the helmet, there is a big gap between the helmet and the main unit, leaving room for moisture to get in between.

The remote control on the side of the helmet pops off easily when you operate it while riding. I've almost lost it twice already as it just popped off.

Not the quality I would expect from Schuberth. I have send them a request for an RMA for the battery issue a week ago, but haven't heard any details yet. I'll update the review once I do find out what the resolution might be. Sierra was not interested in taking the unit back and told me to work it out with the vendor.
