Sub-BMW Quality

I rarely write reviews but this bag may be one of the worst purchases I have ever made. The zippers fail frequently even after light use. The fastening straps do not hold secure even with lightweight items stored inside (there's nothing on the end of the strap to prevent it from detaching during riding). The bag has a tendency to slide backward and off the bike which endangers trailing riders. These bags have convinced me that I need to look to the aftermarket for an acceptable luggage solution.

Best Value 70/30 Shinko Tires found at Sierra BMW

I've been using Shinko 705 tires for years with great results. Properly balanced they are smooth running and long wearing reliable tires on my F800gs. The bang for my buck cannot be matched with any other brand and Sierra BMW is always at the top of my list as a great provider of goods and services.

Very thick shift lever

The Sertao's stock shift lever is a cylinder that's 18 mm diameter and only 25 mm long. Adventure boots make it difficult to reach this very short shift lever because the crash bars interfere with reaching a foot position close to the bike to use such a stubby shift lever. The Hornig lever slides over the stock lever and is attached via a single set screw. It's 60 mm long (great!), but it's width is awkwardly large at 30 mm, so nearly twice as wide as the stock lever and wider than the OEM's is long.
