It's a face shield, but it's not really tinted in any way I find really noticeable. It takes a little bit of glare off things, but if you are in need of real darkening this isn't that much different to clear.

I don't think I'll be using it without sunglasses. I put it on for a trip right after it arrived and on the way home I had it on for four hours in heavy clouds and rain.

I did not once think I might want to swap it out.

As usual, Sierra got it to me without delay, but Arai is being a bit generous with the term "smoke".
