SW-Motech

Regular price $195.00

The SW-MOTECH adjustable folding gear shift lever for enhances ergonomics and aesthetics while durability in the event of a fall or slide. High-quality CNC machined aluminum is more robust than the original and hard anodized black to improve durability and corrosion resistance. This elegant shift lever utilizes a pivoting toe peg which has a sliding (forward or backward) adjustment to custom tailor the reach to your liking. The toe also pivots backward to prevent it from breaking during a fall or slide but is held in place with the spring locking design. Without the spring locking toe, a simple fall could leave you stranded without the ability to operate the transmission. Engineered in Germany for perfect integration with OEM components without the need for permanent modifications.

Beautifully made, great addition

The folding design prevents breakage during a spill, comes with a choice of two tips- shorter or longer, the shorter worked better for my boots. Easy connection to speed shifter- better than original. The 60 torx nut at the base of the lever is used again, unscrews easily if you have that size torx. A challenge to tighten completely to the connecting bolt inside the frame - that bolt rotates and takes some ingenuity to hold it from inside since it’s right up against the chain sprocket. Instructions only call for a lot of grease, thick enough to help some, I suppose. I never got it completely tight - others have ideas? Thin open wrenches like bicycle mechanics use ?
