BMW Motorrad Pillion Air Boots

These look like a strong protective boot (that I have no wish of putting to the test!). But they are a short boot, so will not be as protective as a full height one,

They have an entry zip/flap on the inside of each leg (against the bike) which has a zip for the bottom half and Velcro the whole length of the flap with a loop to help pull them on.

I have only had the boots a few weeks and during that time the pull up loop has proved to be a needed and very useful feature. The large amount of Velcro and short zip less so, which make opening and closing the boots a bit of a faff!

I understand these are now a discontinued product and I was very pleased to find a pair in my size. Although named "Pillion" boots they do have a gear change pad on both feet so work fine for the rider.

Would have received 5 stars if the entry zip was the full height.

Pretty typical BMW boot fit and quality wise - except for the air conditioning. My 24 year old insulated water proof BMW boots have started shedding bits, and, because I’m mostly riding the Southwest now, were too hot for summer months. I can feel a breeze at speed so these are definitely a step in the right direction.
