Ilium Works Engine Guard Bar System for the 2014-on R1200RT WC.

-Made from 1” dia. heavy wall steel tube, TIG welded and powder coated for years of trouble free service. Stronger than thinner wall stainless steel, with no strength reducing deformations to the tube contours.
-3/4” dia., powder coated, solid steel, cross bar tying the two sides together for increased rigidity.
-All hardware is stainless steel.
-Provides a solid foundation for mounting Highway Pegs and auxiliary lighting.
-Designed to help protect vulnerable valve covers, cylinder heads, exhaust pipes and body work in the event that the bike goes down.
-Does not have to be removed for routine servicing.
-Covered by a 1 year warranty on workmanship and materials from time of purchase by original owner.

This crash bar set fits well installs easily, looks good and will save you $$ I was to cheap to buy them at first and dropped my 1200rt mid way through a stoplight on some ones leaked antifreeze the drop took out left mirror, valve cover, and luggage case and a couple other scratches here and there approximately 1200$ in damages just in parts. It only has 2 wheels with a lifetime of riding experience if you’re going to ride it sooner or later it’s going to fall over buy the ilium works they fit and they work and if you scratch them krylon will fix them don’t buy the Chinese cheapies there not there for looks there to save your bike and if you’re reading this they fit BMW NOT A CHINESE CHEAPIE

Mfg defect

Installed one side but the lower hole wouldn't line up quite enough. Lower hole offset about .5mm off. This contributed to the bolt not threading quite right and shaving some of the threads off mounting bracket. Going to drill hole a little larger to allow screw to grab what threads are left. Sierra is great shop. This bracket not the quality for the $$$.
